Eye Injuries: A Blow to the Eye
Definition
Someone who has been hit in the eye, if it is severe they may experience a
loss of vision.
Action Plan
If the patient has lost their vision you must seek immediate medical
assistance. Whilst you are waiting you should cover the eye with a clean
dressing or a clean folded handkerchief and make sure that the patient is lying
flat and quiet.
